1st Training workshop to exchange experience and increase staff's capacity to improve the absorption of operational programmes funds related to virtual accessibility in South East Europe


In relation to the realization of project SEE/D/0089/3.2/X South East Europe improved virtual accessibility through joint initiatives facilitating the rollout of broadband networks (SIVA), part of the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme, Regional Authority Kyustendil and “CAD R&D Centre Progress,” Sofia organized a training workshop to exchange experience and increase staff’s capacity to improve the absorption of operational programmes funds related to virtual accessibility in South East Europe. The meeting was conducted on June, 16th in Kyustendil.

The SIVA Project was presented at the start of the workshop, as well as one of its main outputs – the SIVA Planning tool. The project PISEO, connected to virtualization and modernization of the public DNS infrastructure, was presented later on. Moreover, ideas about creating a platform for electronic sittings and management of devices by the ministers were discussed, in addition to elements of the basic infrastructure for regional and federated electronic government. The meeting was finalized with a demonstration of private cloud platform.

Present at the workshop were members of the president’s administration, regional and local governments, along with IT specialists from Microsoft, Dell, CAD R&D Centre Progress, Negometrix, Amexis and others.
