SIVA infoday in Burgas

On May 20th 2013 in room “George Baev” in Cultural center “See casino” in Burgas, Bulgaria took place an infoday of SIVA project “South East Europe improved virtual accessibility through joint initiatives facilitating the rollout of broadband networks”, financed by The South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme. Representatives of Ministry of transport, information technologies and communications, Regional administration Kyustendil, project partners, broadband network providers, representatives of the local business and stakeholders took part at the infoday.

1st Virtual Accessibility Strategy Workshop in Campobasso, Italy

The first Transnational Virtual Accessibility Experience Exchange Workshop took place in Campobasso in Italy on 28th February 2014 organised by the MOLISE region. The workshop had a great success with more than 150 participants from local stakeholders and individuals and attracted key note speakers from the MOLISE region and representatives from the central government, who talked about the broadband strategy in the broader area and their goal to succeed a full broadband coverage by 2015 to the whole of the Region of Molise and the country in general. 

4th Project Meeting in Campobasso, Italy

On 27th February took place the 4th project meeting of SIVA project in Campobasso, Italy. Organizer of the meeting was the Region of Molise in the capital the Region in Campobasso town where the meeting was held. 

The meeting focused especially on the WP 4 titled: “Services, standards and information system to improve the virtual accessibility of SEE areas”. This work package is one of the most important parts of the project due to the pilot studies and the operational tools that will be developed through this work.

PPP consultation event in Ljubljana, Slovenia

A PPP consultation event was organized at Brdo pri Kranju conference centre in Slovenia. Experts from the field of telecommunications in Slovenia were invited: Goran Živec (Vahta d.o.o.) a representative from the private sector, Zoran Vehovar a representative from Telekom Slovenije, the incumbent operator in Slovenia as well as Katja Mohar Bastar, a representative from The agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia (AKOS). 

The 5th Project Meeting and Steering Committee

The 5th project meeting of SIVA project was held in Slovenia, the second week of May 2014. The meeting was important because the partners needed to have an overview of all the performed and all the open tasks. The SIVA project is being funded under Priority Axis 3 – Improvement of the Accessibility of the South East Europe Programme, achieving the corresponding objectives through the Area of Intervention (AoI) 3.2 – Develop strategies to tackle the 'digital divide'.
